FLIGHTS

There are several airport options which serve the Val d'Anniviers. Our two closest are Geneva (2 hours) and Zurich (3.5 hours).

When you book your flight, please keep in mind that in order to reach us on the same day via public transport, you'll need to be in Sierre by 19:10 for the last bus up the valley. This means that you will need to catch a train from the airport no later than:

  • 16:25 from Geneva airport

  • 16:18 from Zurich airport

Please check here for the train timetable.

TRAIN

Travelling by train is also great option. Sierre is our closest train station and is well served from across Europe. If you are travelling from the UK, the Eurostar/TGV takes just 6.5 hours from London to Geneva and runs throughout the year.

BY CAR

There are great motorway links to the Alps from wherever you are travelling from. For UK travellers, the Val d'Anniviers is approximately just 10 hours drive from Calais/Dunkirk. The French motorway tolls are approximately €60 each way.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

There are a number of airport transfer companies that serve the valley including:

An alternative option is the train. Direct services operate regularly from Geneva Airport to Sierre/Siders (2 hours travel time) with a connecting bus (453) which picks you up from outside the station and delivers you right on our doorstep ("Ayer Post" bus stop). Please note there may be a change of bus in the valley's main village of Vissoie (please check with the driver - you will need the Zinal bus). The bus is also cash only unless a ticket is preordered via the SBB Mobile App or on the website.

Car hire from the airport is also a convenient option. Ayer is around 2 hours drive from Geneva Airport and 3 hours from Zurich Airport.
